                                                               Summary
The reason the moon kept changing phases or shapes is because the way the sun, moon and the earth faces each other It depends in all of their position. Lunar revolution is when the revolves around the earth and the length  is 29.5 days for one revolution. The moon changes in many different shapes like the new moon when the full moon between the earth and the sun, We usually cannot see It because the sunlight reflect on the other side of the moon so the part we see is totally black. There is other phases like the waxing crescent, We only see a little part of the moon but It gets bigger than the previous one. Quarter moon is the time we can see only half of the moon.
Gibbous moon is the moment we can see more than half of the moon but not all of It still gets bigger and bigger. Full moon is when we can see the whole entire moon. Starting there the moon starts waning that mean decreasing smaller and smaller and follow all its steps again from waning crescent to New moon.

How is earth affected by movement revolution?
The earth is affected by movement revolution because whenever the moon and the the earth attract each other the ocean tides increase, It's called gravity. And on earth we see the moon changing phases that is because It depends on the  earth moon and sun position. Earth revolution cause why we have different season's on earth.
